These were the 6 different beers from the May 2023 discovery box:
1. Season Dupont(6.5% ABV, 30 IBU)
A top-fermentation beer with refermentation in the bottle. This beer was already brewed in the farm brewery during the winter in 1844. Copper blonde, the finest hop aromas and a pronounced dry bitterness make this beer an excellent thirst quencher, as it originally was. The selection of yeast lends itself to specific aromas and a typical taste.
2. Joyride in a shopping Cart (6,5% ABV, 30 IBU)
A blond beer (10 EBC) of 6.5% alcohol, brewed with a lot of honey. The honey gives the beer a soft mouthfeel and a floral aroma. In the taste you can taste a mix of spiciness and sweet floral notes, but also a surprisingly fresh touch of citrus and ginger.
3. Dulle Griet (6.5% ABV)
A dark chestnut brown top-fermented beer with an alcohol percentage of 6.5%. It is a powerful beer with a mild aftertaste. The beer has slightly sweet scents, of licorice and candy and a fruity and spicy taste. Dulle Griet has been brewed since 1999. Originally it had an alcohol percentage of 8.5%.
4. Bravoure (6.5% ABV, 25 EMA)
Bravoure derives its smoky taste from the use of a large dose of "Bamberg Rauchmalz" smoked on beech wood. The nuanced smoky tones blend beautifully with the slightly sweet caramelized notes of “Cara-Munich malt”.
5. Plain Beer (7%, 18 IBU)
As the name suggests, ordinary beer is a fairly normal beer, without additives or special brewing processes. But that does not mean that brewing is easier: there is nothing to hide behind, so if the beer is not tasty, it means that the brewing was not (well enough) successful.
6. Triple-K Blond (7.5%, 26 EMA)
Tripel K is a complex golden beer with a soft sweet touch, a balanced bitter aftertaste and a full creamy head. The Belgian hops from Poperinge and specific spices provide typical floral and spicy aromas.
