Tongsneyder

“Gold” Blond high-fermentation beer with an alcohol content of 8.5% Alc. Vol.
Ingredients: brewing water, malt, hops, yeast, heather, birch leaves, hibiscus, juniper berry, elderflower, woundwort and cowslip blossoms.

The "Tongsneyders", a gang of robbers that was active at the end of the 18th century. They had their hiding place on the Kesterheide in Gooik. From here they made the surrounding villages and cities unsafe.

The Tongsneyders struck without mercy…
They cut out the tongues of their victims to ensure silence around the gang.
